The group is focused on the design and implementation of Radio and LEO satellite communication systems and subsystems.

Projects

RASAT X-Band Transmitter

It is designed as a communication subsystem of a LEO Remote Sensing Satellite at 700 km altitude. Analog, digital and RF subsystems are designed and implemented. Power amplifier of the transmitter is designed with high power efficiency for satellite applications. The system is CCSDS compatible.

  2. Modulation : QPSK-OQPSK
  3. Data rate : 25/50/100 Mbps
  4. FEC: RS & Convolutional
  5. Output power : 7 W (38.5 dBm)
  6. Efficiency : 25-30 %

Phase Array Antenna

It is designed for Ground Stations of LEO satellites. It could be installed on mobile or fixed platforms. Antenna pattern could be controlled at horizontal and vertical axis.

    1. Center Frequency : 8.2 GHz
    2. Bandwitdh : 300 MHz

Digital Frequency Discriminator

The system is being designed to detect the accurate frequency of the incoming RADAR signals.
