RASAT is in its targeted ORBIT!
The launch was successfully performed with the Dnepr launch vehicle from Yasny Launch Base of Russia, on 17th of August. RASAT was reached on-target orbit, at the 689 km high, at 10:12:20 Turkish Time.
Following completion of the launch, first contact with RASAT was made from Ankara, TÜBİTAK UZAY ground station at 11:44:04 Turkish Time and first telemetry of RASAT was received at 11:51:20. RASAT service operations are ongoing  and all the software was uploaded from Ankara TÜBİTAK ground station and Norwegian Andøya Ground Station.

Currently all the modules of RASAT are tested and main modules are actively functioning.
Camera calibration activities  are ongoing.

RASAT is on the way to launch!
RASAT, the first earth observation satellite designed and manufactured in Turkey, is transported to Russian Federation for launch. RASAT is designed, manufactured and tested by TUBITAK Space Technologies Research Institute (TUBITAK UZAY), with funding from Turkish State Planning Office (DPT). 15.06.2011

Reliability Assessment Laboratory
Reliability Assessment Laboratory is established within the facility of TÜBİTAK UZAY Space Technologies Research Institute which has always been a pioneer on technologic improvements in Turkey. Along with the foundation of this laboratory, it is aimed to conduct reliability tests and analyses of electronic devices that are in design, in production line or already in the field.
